Blind Slime – Dark Vibrations (In the Sky) Free digital EP!

Blind Slime returns to Wil-Ru with his brand new EP “Dark Vibrations (In the Sky)”. A free digital-only release featuring four lovely tracks of dark liturgical moon-lit psychedelia taken from the sessions of Blind Slime’s upcoming album Mid-Atlantic Gothic, which will be the official full-length follow up to last year’s excellent True Country release.

The single Dark Vibrations (In the Sky) [Taken from Mid-Atlantic Gothic] is joined here by three exclusive tracks: “Woad Robes”, “Stone Globe” and “Hazard’s Wall”, which will not appear on the upcoming album. An excellent teaser of things to come (very soon)! We couldn’t be more pleased..

Ozarks – Self-Titled LP Out Now!

The wait is finally over! Today Wil-Ru is proud to announce the release of the highly anticipated debut self-titled album by Ozarks! Since the music contained on this album is so classy, we thought it best to give the album the proper treatment with a luxurious vinyl release! Ozarks deliver up some pretty impressive modern baroque-pop tunes played in the fashion of the late sixties and early seventies! Fifteen tracks in all crammed with dense moody arrangements and light-hearted poppy psychedelia spanning over 40 minutes in length! This limited edition LP (300 copies) comes in a super nice full color glossy LP jacket with a two sided insert featuring some stunning giallo inspired artwork by band members Robbie Augspurger and Eric Adrian Lee. Lots of other goodies are included in this package as well! Don’t miss out!

Ozarks record release show: Friday the 13th, 2012!

The highly anticipated Ozarks debut LP comes out tomorrow! For those of you in Portland Oregon, please join us at the record release party this Friday at the White Eagle Saloon! Ozarks will perfom along with Pony Village and Leisure. We heard the place is haunted, plus it’s Friday the 13th, so watch your back, just in case Jason is lurking in the shadows… 21+

New Morriconez Album Out Next Friday (06/29/12)!

Next Friday marks the release date of the latest installment of warped sunburnt desert psychedelia by Morriconez. “Cloud of Dust, Cry of Death“, the latest musical score by Jeffrey Wentworth Stevens is a bit more of a fleshed out version of Jeff’s previous cassette mini-album under the moniker “Jjango Cleefworth Morriconez“. Here we find some deep widescreen gems loaded with lush instrumentation and cine-delic picturesque atmosphere. A circuit bent spaghetti western fever dream. Watch the above video to preview “Saguaro Mescal Moustache”. Enjoy!

Ozarks free single, video and album release date annouced!

After what seems like ages, the mysterious Ozarks (Count Robbie Augspurger) finally emerge with a free singe, a release date and a brand new music video!

First off, the single..
This three track single (Called “As I Lay Sleeping/’Til I Die”) features the song As I Lay Sleeping from the upcoming self titled debut full length LP by Ozarks out on July 10th, 2012. Also included is a cover of The Beach Boys song ‘Til I Die from their 1971 album “Surfs UP” and an alternate guitar version of track one from the upcoming LP called I’m Never Bored.

And here we have the first official single from the album in video form. Pyramids of Love is taken from the “Amis/Pyramids of Love” split 7″ by Davis Hooker and Ozarks. This video was shot recently in a dark castle using only movie lights and total blackness. Ivan Rassimov is rumored to have acted as a hand model in this mini masterpiece of italo crime cinema. Perfect for watching when you are “driving all around”…

Automatic Tasty – Speech and Silence out on Friday, May 4th.

The highly anticipated upcoming album from Automatic Tasty titled “Speech and Silence” will be released on Friday, May 4th, 2012. Speech and Silence will be available as a limited edition cassette + digital release and will also be made available separately as a digital only album.

Davis Hooker – Phoning It In Cassette Reissue.

We just made a fresh batch of Davis Hooker’s “Phoning It In” cassette! This is the second edition of this cassette and it will be limited to 50 copies on white cassettes with black labels, housed in our standard audiobook packaging. Check it out if you missed out on the first run!

Phoning It In is a very moving live interpretation of Davis Hooker I performed via telephone call. Beautiful hand-picked guitars lead Davis’s haunting picturesque lyrics down a dark and hazy road. Seemingly autobiographical, Davis’ poetry is both thought provoking and heart-wrenchingly honest. Don’t miss it!
